Description
The MiniTest 70 is a lightweight and handy coating thickness gauge (dft gauge) in a pencil format with a built-in sensor. It enables non destructive measurement of
- non-magnetic coatings (paint, synthetic materials, chromium etc.) on a ferromagnetic substrate (steel)
- insulating coatings (varnish, enamel, synthetic material etc.) on conductive substrates (aluminium, copper, austenitic stainless steel) (only in the FN type models)
The spring-mounted sensors are equipped with wear-resistant sensor poles and ensure durability even when used for measurements on rough and abrasive substrates.
Application
Non destructive measurement of:
- Non-magnetic coatings like varnishes, enamels, chromium and zinc on ferromagnetic base materials (e.g. steel)
- Insulating coatings like varnishes and anodic coatings on non-ferrous metals (e.g. aluminium, copper, austenitic stainless steel, brass)
Features
- Accurate coating measurement of up to 3mm(F range) and 2.5 mm(N range)
- Dual sensor for automatic substrate identification and setting the suitable measuring principle: eddy currents or magnetic induction (not in model F))
- Wear-resistant probes with long service life
- Lightweight: only 80 grams
- Dual sensor for automatic identification of the substrate (FN model). According to the substrate, it adjusts to the appropriate measuring principle: magnetic induction or eddy currents principle.
- Quick statistics mode to calculate the number of readings, average, standard deviation and min., max. value
- lightweight: 80 grams / 2.8 oz only
